Apple Cinnamon Rub
This rub is as fall as the popular coffee shops pumpkin spice latte. Unlike the pumpkin spice though, this is a go to rub for pork and poultry year round. If you’re feeling adventurous, try dehydrating your own apples instead of using the chips. It’s way more effort but a fun after apple picking event.

- 1 3.4 ounce bag of apple chips
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
Use a spice grinder or a mortar and pestle to grind the apple chips into powder-like consistency. Combine all ingredients in a shaker bottle and shake until the ingredients are mixed thoroughly.
