FREIGHT Delivery Methods
Freight delivery charges for large items are based on weight and distance. If you place an online order for appliances or cabinetry, delivery costs will be estimated in the shopping cart for orders within the 48 continental United Sates, the District of Columbia or Canada. A member of our sales team will contact you to confirm your delivery details. Updated delivery costs may be provided at that time. Orders to Hawaii and Alaska can be placed online, but delivery quotes must be handled offline.
Kalamazoo outdoor kitchen equipment is carefully packaged to ensure safe arrival at your home. It is important, however, to thoroughly inspect your delivery for damage before signing for it.
Residential CURBSIDE DELIVERY SERVICE
Residential Curbside is the most affordable freight service level for delivery to your home. Curbside Delivery Service will leave your shipment at the “first dry area,” typically the street end of your driveway. If you decide to have your order shipped via Curbside Delivery, you will need to provide your own crew and equipment to move the pallets and unpack the equipment.
RESIDENTIAL In-Gate DELIVERY SERVICE
Residential In-Gate service level will leave your shipment inside your gate (typically deeper in the driveway than the Curbside service level). You will still need to provide your own crew and equipment to unpack the equipment and move it to its final installation area.
Patio Direct Delivery Service
Patio Direct Delivery Service will place items in the location of your choosing, outside your home, and remove all packaging. Please inspect everything for damage prior to signing the delivery receipt. Damages must be described in writing on the receipt at the time of delivery.
Patio Direct Delivery Service will not assemble your items or custom outdoor kitchens, nor will they connect gas lines, water lines or propane tanks.
Patio Direct Deliveries are typically made within 2 to 3 weeks of shipment. The delivery service will schedule an appointment with you for a 4-hour window between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on a weekday. You must be available to accept the delivery at the appointed time—otherwise re-delivery charges will apply. These can be quite expensive, and are determined by the delivery service.
Small Package Shipping
Shipping charges for small packages will be quoted via a small package carrier service, and will be based on weight, distance and your requested speed of delivery.
If your accessory order is part of a larger order that includes appliances or cabinetry, those accessories are typically delivered via freight services along with the appliances or cabinetry.
Please inspect your package immediately upon receipt for shipping damages.
For Patio Direct Deliveries, please carefully inspect all products for damage before the carrier leaves your premises. Indicate any damage in writing on the delivery receipt before signing it.
For Curbside and In-Gate Deliveries, please carefully inspect all shipping containers for damage before the carrier leaves your premises. If there is visible damage, the items in damaged containers should be uncrated or unboxed before the carrier leaves your premises. Any damage to containers and items should be noted in writing on the delivery receipt before signing it.
For UPS and FedEx deliveries, you must notify us of any shipping damages within two (2) business days of receipt, and you must keep the packaging for inspection by the carrier. We cannot take responsibility for shipping damages beyond two (2) days from receipt.
Shipments Outside the United States and Canada
Kalamazoo happily sells to clients outside of the United States. However, we will only ship to addresses within the 50 United States of America, the District of Columbia and Canada.
Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet recommends clients work with an international freight forwarder and customs broker for all personal use imports into other countries. If you do not have a freight forwarder to work with, Estes Forwarding Worldwide provides these services directly to clients in many countries. The client is responsible for delivery arrangements, customs, duties, taxes and any other delivery and importation fees. Clients may arrange to have their orders picked up at our Michigan factory by their freight forwarder, or we can deliver orders to the freight forwarder facility in the continental 48 United States (taxes and delivery charges will apply).
International orders of non-certified products are sold “Ex Works." This means the customer assumes all shipping and regulatory responsibilities of transporting goods from our Michigan factory, including delivery arrangements, customs, duties, taxes and any other delivery and import fees.
