Keys to the perfectly seared tuna:

  • Choose high-quality, fresh tuna — searing grade or sashimi grade
  • Brush lightly with olive oil and season with salt
  • Sear quickly over an intensely hot fire for less than 1 minute per side
  • Thinly slice across the grain for serving
