Shipping and Delivery
Shipping charges on large items are based on weight and distance. If you place your grill or kitchen order online, shipping will be quoted in the shopping cart, and a member of our Sales Team will contact you to confirm your delivery parameters. Shipping charges for smaller, accessory item-only orders will be quoted via Small Goods Carrier service, and will be based on weight, distance and your desired speed of delivery.
Patio Direct Delivery Service
For large and heavy products, such as grills and custom outdoor kitchens, we recommend Patio Direct Delivery Service.
Patio Direct Delivery Service will place the item(s) in the location of your choosing (outside your home) and remove all packaging. Please inspect your item(s) for damage prior to signing the delivery receipt. Damages must be described in writing on the receipt at the time of delivery.
Patio Direct Delivery Service will not assemble your items or custom outdoor kitchens, nor will they connect gas lines, water lines or propane tanks.
Patio Direct Deliveries are typically made within 2-3 weeks of shipment. The delivery service will schedule an appointment with you for a 4-hour window between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on a weekday. It is imperative that you be available to accept the delivery at the appointed time, otherwise re-delivery charges will apply. These can be quite expensive and are the purview of the delivery service.
Kalamazoo outdoor kitchen equipment is carefully packaged to ensure safe arrival at your home. It is important, however, to thoroughly inspect your delivery for damage before signing for it.
Curbside Delivery Service
If you decide to have your order shipped via Curbside Delivery, it is important to have your own crew on-site to uncrate your shipment and place the equipment where you want it. Curbside Delivery Service will leave your shipment at the “first dry area,” typically the end of your driveway.
Small Goods Carrier Service
Smaller and lighter products, such as grill covers, will be delivered via UPS or FedEx unless ordered with Patio Direct Delivery Service items, in which case they will usually be packaged with your Patio Direct Delivery.
Please inspect your package immediately upon receipt for shipping damages.
For Patio Direct Deliveries, please carefully inspect all products for damage before the carrier leaves your premises. Indicate any damage in writing on the delivery receipt before signing it.
For Curbside Deliveries, please carefully inspect all shipping containers for damage before the carrier leaves your premises. If there is visible damage, the items in dangled containers should be uncreated or unboxed before the carrier leaves your presses. Any damage to containers and items should be noted in writing on the delivery receipt before signing it.
For UPS and FedEx deliveries, you must notify us of any shipping damages within two (2) business days of receipt, and you must keep the packaging for inspection by the carrier. We cannot take responsibility for shipping damages beyond two (2) days from receipt.
Shipments Outside the Continental United States
Kalamazoo happily sells to customers outside of the United States, however we will only ship to the 50 United States of America.
Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet recommends clients work with an international freight forwarder and customs broker for all personal use imports into other countries. If you do not have a freight forwarder to work with, Estes Forwarding Worldwide provides these services directly to clients in many countries.
Under certain circumstances, we can use a third-party shipping company to have your order shipped via ocean or air freight to the address you provide (see above regarding purchasing certified products). In these situations, you are responsible for delivery arrangements, customs, duties, taxes and any other delivery and importation fees. Clients may arrange to have their orders picked up at our Michigan factory by their freight forwarder, or we can deliver orders to the freight forwarder facility in the continental 48 United States (taxes and delivery charges will apply).
International orders of non-certified products are sold “x-works”, and you are responsible for transportation from our Michigan factory (including delivery arrangements, customs, duties, taxes and any other delivery and import fees).
