Homemade Pizza Dough: Easier Than You Think

Lauren Jones, Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet | 03/19/2013 | Food and Drink

A lot of cooks shy away from making their own pizza dough because quite frankly it seems like too much work. We’re here to tell you this isn’t the case! Making pizza dough from scratch really isn’t that difficult and the difference in taste and texture is huge. You can use an electric mixer with a dough hook to knead, however our dough recipe really doesn’t require enough work to bother with the machine. Once made, pizza dough can be frozen and used at a later date. Click through for our White Wine Pizza Dough Recipe. If you’d like to try your hand at something a little more advanced visit slice.seriouseats.com, one of our favorite pizza blogs, for an authentic Neapolitan style pizza recipe from our friend Roberto Caporuscio of restaurants Keste and Don Antonio by Starita. Enjoy!
